United Way of South Central Oklahoma

Since 1971, United Way of South Central Oklahoma has been bringing people and resources together to strengthen our five-county community. For more than five decades, we have stood at the center of local solutions, investing in programs that help individuals and families not just survive, but thrive. Today, we support 35 partner agencies operating 53 programs across Carter, Johnston, Love, Marshall, and Murray counties. Our work focuses on four pillars that define a strong community: Healthy Community, Youth Opportunity, Financial Security, and Community Resiliency. We are not simply a fundraiser. We are a strategic investor, a community convener, and a steward of trust.

Every dollar raised stays local and is invested where it produces measurable outcomes. Through our partner network, tens of thousands of individuals across south-central Oklahoma receive support each year. From food and shelter to mental health services, childcare, senior support, and crisis recovery, United Way funding touches lives at every stage. Programs like Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library place high-quality books into the hands of young children every month, building early literacy and kindergarten readiness. Community initiatives mobilize volunteers, pack meals, and respond rapidly when disaster strikes. Our work is practical. It is measurable. And it is built to last.
